I am David Landy, a professor in the Department of Philosophy at San Francisco State University, and the author of Kant's Inferentialism and Hume's Science of Human Nature. In addition to Hume and Kant, I also have research interests in the work of Wilfrid Sellars, Lady Mary Shepherd, and topics in the philosophy of mind and language.
I am the very happy father of Madeline and Violet, and husband of Margo, who I think are all just great!
When I am not doing philosophy (and sometimes while I am), I can be found hanging out with the above-mentioned family members, playing video games, or enjoying the natural beauty of the San Francisco Bay Area. I have also earned the rank of Life Master from the American Contract Bridge League.
